Once the pavement is out, the contractor can check the exposed ground before setting the new grade and forms. Size, removal, hauling, ground conditions, access and finish all affect the price. Work at the street apron may add its own costs and permits. Bids are easier to compare when they cover the same work and explain how hidden base problems will be priced. An actual quote needs a site review.
